Broad, wholesome, charitable views of people and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little area all one’s lifetime. Mark Twain Matt Molnar is a unique singer/songwriter in that his main musical influences are instrumental in nature. Having grown up to the sounds of Spyro Gyra, Chuck Mangione, David Sanborn, and other fusion bands, he understands that the key to a well-crafted tune is melody. Other influences include Robert Cray, Hoagy Carmichael, Harry Connick Jr., Ben Folds, and Jimmy Fortune.
Matt Molnar’s debut release “Are We There Yet?” is a smorgasbord of musical styles. From the street beat of Should Make You Feel Good to the funky clav solo on I Sprained My Pride, there is a taste of jazz, pop, funk, and blues. The lyrical content is honest and often times witty served up with just the right amount of emotion. He guarantees you’ll find the album refreshing!
