Louis Pain and Dan Balmer of The Mel Brown Quartet stopped by to master their new “Live at the Britt Festival” CD. Producer/musician Don Henson of The Headless Human Clones and Sneakin’ Out was in with Michigan artist Gary McInnis to sweeten his new 11 song Christmas release. Salem, Oregon harp and flute duo RoseWynde were in with producer/engineer Jim Norman to wrap up production on their new Christmas CD “Winter Ayres”. Mastered a compilation for KTHX-FM of Reno that included rare studio and live performances by Los Lobos, Mumbo Gumbo, Howie Day, Robert Cray, Dishwalla, Robben Ford, Joe Craven, Jesse Colin Young, Pete Yorn and John Hiatt. The Paisley Pop Label artists Crack City Rockers sent their new CD in for treatment as well as other Portland area artists including Ty and Nonoy Alovera, The Al Perez Band, THIRTY3, Monn Tanno Mondo and Sumara. Recording engineer Cory Knowland brought in three projects, the rock band Faded, The Willamette University Chamber Choir and the gospel trio For Eternity. MIB Music‘s Bryce Van Patten came in to master an eighteen song metal compilation including: Jester’s Moon, Moonlight Agony, The Prowlers, Element, Madog, Hell Candidates, Antares, Dr. Mastermind, Metharia, Victim, Art of Fear, Still Life, Rapid Fire, Stairway, Rain, Mercury Rain, Sabatan and Babylon. Bands come from all parts of the globe including Italy and Poland. Jim Fischer came by to add keyboards to the new James Giger CD entitled “I’ve Anchored My Soul” in which mixing and mastering was also completed. Jim Fischer also added keys to Tim Current‘s ongoing project. HeavyWood Music‘s Dick Titterington came by with Ohio-based jazz guitarist Dan Faehnle to master his new release entitled “Ohio Lunch”. Coos Bay band, Habit came up for mastering as well as Relentless Recording engineer Jim Sanders for his own band The Burrmans. Adam Zwig was in to begin transferring and editing tracks for his new CD. Engineer Mark Fretham a.k.a. Doctor Digital stopped by with Blake Sakamoto, Ann Ishimaru and Zack Semke to master Portland Taiko. Portland Taiko is a premiere North American taiko ensemble. Taiko (the Japanese word for drum and the name of the art form) has its roots in ancient Japanese tradition. Outsider Audio‘s Caleb Olsen was in to compile a new 18 song sampler CD for the label including artists: Jordan Tyler, Craig Meade and Luke. A full length master for Craig Meade was also completed. Adam Mackintosh of Gruesome Galore was in to master a live recording of the band from a festival in Spain. Portland Legends Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts mastered their new 25 song CD in celebration of their 25th Anniversary! 5 Guys Named Moe‘s Brian Pelky came by to put the finishing touches on their new 12 song release entitled “Dancing in the Streets”. Doug Sweet of KMHD 89.1 FM was in to compile and master a CD of Cathedral Park performances. Courtney Jones of Corvallis, OR came by to master as did Sam and John Densmore and their band Silverhawk of Coos Bay, OR. Singer, James Giger and Pianist, Colleen Adent tracked 12 new songs with Kevin at Walter Midi Studios in Gresham, OR.

Magic Marker Records‘ Curt Kentner stopped by to master the new release by the All Girl Summer Fun Band. Ambient recording artists Grails, being released on the San Francisco-based Neurot Recordings label came by for some sonic polish. Seattle-area harpist extraordinaire, Bronn Journey dropped off his new CD of Beatles Songs for mastering. Coos Bay engineer Sam Densmore came by with guitarist Bobby Lindstrom to master Bobby’s new CD, entitled “A Lick and a Promise”.
Mastered releases for Portland area artists TPS Report, Woke Up Falling, Transmission West, Mt. Hood Community College Jazz Band and the combo Los Cowtones. Jazz Pianist Ez Weiss came by to master his new album tracked in New York as did The Moss Brothers from Astoria, Oregon and the praise band of Dayspring Fellowship in Keizer, Oregon. Adam Selzer, Type Foundry Studio’s engineer was in to master his band’s CD, Norfolk and Western. Sweetened Cecilia Larson and Alfredo Muro’s second CD of children’s songs entitled “Little Songs in Spanish 2” as well as The Windbreakers on Jim Huie‘s label, Paisley Pop Records. CEDARed and mastered the new CD from White Noise Records archiving a historical 1970’s punk rock show in San Francisco entitled “Miners Benefit”. The CD features rare performances by the bands: U.X.A., The Sleepers, Negative Trend and Tuxedomoon. Tracking continues for The Martindales and Tim Current.

Astoria, Oregon Classical group The Jeffersonians came by to mix and master their demo. The Roots Rock band, The Martindales began tracking their new full length release. Completed mastering in the form of a double dose 2 CD set of Black Metal by Moribund Records artists Azreal as well as label-mates, Sargeist from Finland. Mastered new releases for The Luis Palau Praise Band, San Francisco artist Craig Koozer and his project Koozito, Joel Burns‘ Hollywood, CA band Kazanova, Lakeview Oregon’s resident metal-head Walt Lawton and a demo for Oregon Symphony violinist Mara Lise Gearman. The theme of Jazz pianist Jean Ronne‘s new release is music from the movies, her CD will be entitled “Reel Music”. Paisley Pop Records‘ Jim Huie stopped by for treatment on his latest release by the North Carolina band The Saving Graces. Wrapped up mixing and mastering for The Jake Kot Project featuring appearances by Dave Weckl, Eric Marienthal, Paul Mazzio, Renato Caranto, George Mitchell, Rheinhardt Melz and many others.
