Kode Bluuz is a family more than a band with many members other than the current 7 line-up. Kode Bluuz, inspired by a group of Portland, Oregon Firefighters and Norman Sylvester was established in 1999; the current members have been together 5 years.

They give a Gumbo flavor to the music world by playing Blues, R&B, Ol Skool, Reggae and Classic Rock. They even Jazz it up at times and have also been known to play a bit o country. Theres a taste of something for everyone, hence the Gumbo legend. This is the 2nd CD recorded by Kode Bluuz. The title track, Drive By Bluuz, was written by the bands leader/drummer Olan Ray Nelson, Sr. Another major contributor to the bands original music creation and production is bassist Stan Wheeler.
