James has been a professional musician for over thirty years and specializes in vintage acoustic blues and Americana.

Although know for his finger picking and slide guitar skills producer Ron Rogers and James put together a project where he plays a bluesy ukulele and warm vocals with lots of great guest musicians such as Reggie Houston, Mary Flower, Johnnie Ward and others with the hot rhythm section of Craig Snazelle and Ken West. The title of the CD is Sugar Moon. This was all done live in the studio to analog tape. The subtitle of the CD is “Swing and Blues Party” and that is a reflection on the content of ragtime blues, western swing and tin pan ally tunes from the 1930’s.
